EB-5 Capital Deployment
The EB-5 program allows UAE residents to obtain a US Green Card by investing capital that creates at least 10 full-time US jobs.
The TEA Investment Threshold
As of recent legislative updates, the minimum investment amount is $800,000 if deployed into a Targeted Employment Area (TEA)—either a rural area or an area of high unemployment. Non-TEA investments require $1,050,000.
Regional Centers vs. Direct Investment
Over 90% of EB-5 capital is deployed through Regional Centers. These entities pool foreign capital to fund large-scale developments (e.g., a hotel in Florida). The primary advantage is that indirect and induced jobs count toward the 10-job requirement, significantly reducing immigration risk for the UAE investor.
